The whole design follows from one decision: sync server-side, then serve locally. Everything below is a consequence of that.
Every sync writes your posts and your published design into your site’s own database, and caches the renderer script in your uploads folder. Visitors load the feed from your host — there is no blocking third-party request on the page, which is what Core Web Vitals actually cares about.
Because the plugin serves each feed locally, page views never hit a quota — not even on the free plan. A busy WordPress site can run on free forever. That is the part competitors cannot copy without changing how their plugin works.
Feeds are built in the CollectSocials studio — layout, card template and theme, around 40 layouts including grid, masonry, carousel and a scrolling wall. The plugin renders exactly what you published, so there is no second WordPress theme to keep in sync.
The scheduled sync sends your feed id, embed token, mode and paging — nothing else. No site URL, no admin email, no telemetry. Visitors send nothing to us at all, because the page never talks to us.
The cached copy is the copy your visitors see, so a social platform having a bad afternoon does not leave a hole in your homepage. The same account also powers embeds on any non-WordPress site you run.
Deleting the plugin removes its options and per-feed caches, clears both cron hooks, and deletes the cached script directory from your uploads folder. Nothing orphaned in your database.

We would rather tell you that now than have you file a support ticket about it later.

Install the CollectSocials plugin, connect your Instagram Business or Creator account in the CollectSocials dashboard, design the feed in the studio, then copy the feed id and embed token from the Embed dialog into Settings → CollectSocials. Run a sync and place the CollectSocials Feed block on any page. Instagram requires a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page — that is Meta’s rule for any third-party integration, not ours.

New posts are collected upstream on your CollectSocials plan’s schedule — daily on the free plan, faster on paid plans. The plugin then re-syncs that cached data on the WordPress interval you choose: hourly, twice daily or daily. Syncing more often than your plan refreshes simply re-reads the same data, so there is no benefit to setting it faster than your plan.

Yes. Add each feed’s id and token under Settings → CollectSocials, then place them independently with the CollectSocials Feed block or the [collectsocials feed="your-feed-id"] shortcode. Different pages can show completely different feeds.
Feeds are served entirely from your own site, so no visitor data is sent to CollectSocials or to the social networks when someone views a page. The only outbound connection is the scheduled sync from your server to your own CollectSocials account, and that request carries just the feed id, embed token, mode and paging values.
Uninstalling removes the plugin’s options and per-feed caches, clears both scheduled cron hooks, and deletes the cached renderer script from your uploads folder. Your CollectSocials account and feeds are untouched — they keep working anywhere else you have embedded them.
